We had a great company holiday party last Friday. All but one of our team was able to attend. We held it at Zito’s on 17th. It is a great place with excellent service. A couple highlights from the party were everyone receiving a Kindle Fire and the team gave John, Tony, and Morgan some framed photos from the company cruise we took in May. Great times. It was a great year. Much was accomplished and we are all thankful to be working with such a great group of people and great customers.

Companies like The Walt Disney Studios, Patni Americas, Word & Brown, LA Galaxy, AEG and Surterre Properties were just a few which were revelling in what the cloud offers with Microsoft CRM 2011. And with the addition of getting $200 cash per license off Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online” who could blame them.
From Bob Lusk, Director of Microsoft to Cameron Basydlo, Director of Strategic Sourcing at AEG to all of our vendors attendees and presenters; Blue Violet Networks, Scribe Software, SoftwareOne, ExactTarget and Prosum IS everyone came storming in to see what the thunder was all about. We sincerely thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to drive to LA to experience “The Power of Productivity” Microsoft CRM 2011. What a ride it is going to be…..
From 100% User Adoption for your team to top level security for your data from Microsoft. From real time reporting with dynamic dashboards to advanced email marketing and web analytics the CMR 2011 Cloud offering from Microsoft has been making a big buzz around LA and OC and the rest of the world. And at the end of the event we needed to provide cloud control for all the questions from the attendees that were rushing to get signed up.
A recent Dynamics CRM customer success story:
Data Reduction Systems switched from another large CRM system and has since saved more than 50 percent in user costs and reached 100 percent user adoption for the first time in history.
Ask yourself these questions to determine if you are getting what you should from your CRM system or if you missed the boat:
| • |
In this economy, how can I justify paying two to three times more for an enterprise CRM system than I need to?*
|
| • |
Microsoft provides a financially backed 99.9 percent up-time commitment for every Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online customer; why does the other “guy” only provide me with “commercially reasonable efforts” to keep my business running?
|
| • |
Having access to the most up-to-date information is critical to my business; why doesn’t the other ”guy” provide real-time access to data and dashboards, refreshed whenever I need it like Microsoft does?
|
| • |
Microsoft works great with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office; why does the other ”guy” want me to start from scratch when it comes to productivity tools for my people?
|
| • |
Microsoft provides the flexibility for my CRM system to work with other systems whether they run in the cloud or on-premises; why does the other “guy” lock me into one way of doing things?
|
For more than a decade, Microsoft has run some of the largest, most reliable cloud services in the world, has the other “Guy”? With the combined power of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online and the full depth and breadth of Microsoft’s productivity offerings, we can deliver value in a way that works best for your business. Just ask Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers such as Jelly Belly and Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift Europe, which have won some of the CRM industry’s most notable awards.
And the deal just got sweeter by Microsoft paying you to switch.

According to Gartner, Microsoft is “Moving on Up to the Top” of their Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation.
In their recent article they speak of how Microsoft has joined the other 800 pound Gorillas in the sales automation space. See chart:
Figure 1. Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation
Source: Gartner (July 2010)
To be included in this Magic Quadrant, a vendor must demonstrate that it:
- Has at least 100 customers that have deployed opportunity management systems in its last two versions of the software
- Has at least five new named customers that have actively deployed opportunity management functionality during the past 12 months
- Is actively selling or marketing to multiple industries and geographies an SFA solution with opportunity management as the primary application
- Has proved that it can be deployed in sales organizations of more than 100 user
A successful vendor selection strategy will assess providers that support data requirements, access modes and functionality for each sales role. The sales processes will dictate the functional components that best satisfy organizational and individual sales requirements.
- Consultative solution selling will require rich-content process support to tie proposals, bids, configurations and quotes together with authorizations and order-capture systems.
Market Definition/Description
SFA applications enable B2B organizations to automate sales activities, processes and administrative responsibilities for sales professionals. Core functionalities include account, contact and opportunity management. Additional add-on capabilities focus on improving the sales effectiveness of salespeople, such as sales configuration, sales coaching, guided selling, proposal generation and content management; and sales performance management support, including incentive compensation, quota and territory management.

The 2010 CFO of the Year Award event has come and gone and the start of the new year is well under way with Year End reports starting to appear. But with all that said we need to continue to recognize the CFO’s that received awards and a couple special nominees that are true and dear to our hearts.
We would like to congratulate 2 of our very own customers; Eric Chiusolo, CFO of American Career College and Richard Wheeler, CFO of Clean Energy Fuels for being nominated. We have had first hand experiences interacting with these two individuals and can speak very highly for their dedication to the companies success, drive for excellence and commitment to their teams.
And the remaining honorees are included in the story below:
CoreLogic’s Piszel, Other CFOs Honored
The chief financial officer who helped foster the biggest debut of a public company here in years was honored Tuesday along with four other financial executives.
Anthony “Buddy” Piszel of Santa Ana’s CoreLogic Inc. oversaw regulatory approvals and financing deals that paved the way for the real estate data services company to split from Santa Ana-based First American Corp. last year.
CoreLogic had a recent market value of $2.3 billion.
Piszel joined First American in 2009 and was named chief financial officer of the information solutions group—CoreLogic’s predecessor—a year later.
For CoreLogic’s split, Piszel led the effort to gain regulatory approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission and others. He also restructured credit lines and struck new ones.
Piszel was given the Lifetime Achievement award at the CFO of the Year awards in Irvine presented by the Business Journal and the Orange County and Long Beach chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He jokingly called finance “a tough racket,” in accepting the award.
Other honorees:
Khann Tran, chief financial officer Newport Beach-based Pacific Life Insurance Co. Tran, a Vietnamese immigrant, has been in finance at the life insurer for 20 years. He received the CFO of a Private Company award.
Bret Johnsen, chief financial officer of Newport Beach-based chipmaker Mindspeed Technologies Inc. He received the CFO of a Public Company award.
Kerri Ruppert Schiller, chief financial officer of Children’s Hospital of Orange County, who received the CFO of a Not-for-Profit award.
Jatan Shah, chief financial officer of Costa Mesa audio gear company QSC Audio Products LLC, who received the Rising Star award.

Extension and Expansion of Small Businesses’ Ability to Immediately Expense Capital Investments: The bill increases for 2010 and 2011 the amount of investments that businesses would be eligible to immediately write off to $500,000, while raising the level of investments at which the write-off phases out to $2 million. Prior to the passage of the bill, the expensing limit would have been $250,000 this year, and only $25,000 next year. This provision means that 4.5 million small businesses and individuals will be able to make new business investments today and know that they will earn a larger break on their taxes for this year. And the story goes, that it was a very nice night in Naples and Nate Goodrich, Dynamic Methods very own CRM Online Consultant and expert was on a mission with his map, his plan and the ring. This would turn out to be a night to remember.
As Nate walked slowly hand in hand with his girlfriend, Heidi Naylor over a bridge in Naples (No not Italy) but the wonderful Italian Inspired area near long beach, he suggested what a beautiful night it would be for a Gondola Ride!! Heidi obliged and they were off down the slow declining ramp towards the water and in they went, (No not the water but the Gondola aka Boat). With the wonderful sounds of authentic Italian Symphony in the background and the canals closing in with the sight of the sunset and beautiful houses on each side and the feeling of no longer in CA but the heart of Italy, Nate got down on one knee and boastfully promoted his “You are the one/You are my soul mate” feelings to this wonderful young woman who’s breath was stolen for a moment and the only sounds are the smooth strokes of the paddle, Nate watched as tears welled up and the smile broke and then a YES was stammered in excitement and then another YES, YES, YES. The two embraced as they are now on a journey to becoming one.
As they sat in awe of the moment nestled together with the beautiful sky, the music, the cheese and crackers and a wonderful warm tingly feeling of making a commitment similar to that of two lovebirds whenthey softly twist their heads around one another as they unite, these two individuals Nate Goodrich and his Fiance Heidi Naylor head off into the sunset on the Gondola thinking about their destiny that will be filled with nothing but joy, laughter and love for the new life they have just welcomed.
Congratulations from your Dynamic Methods Family on such a special event.
